  • The mission of the Illinois Hispanic State Employees Educational Foundation (IHSEEF) is to increase the number of Latinos at all levels of state government by funding educational opportunities to current state employees, college and high school students and to work in partnership with other organizations.
    The Illinois Hispanic State Employees Educational Foundation (IHEF) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors, college students and state employees enrolled in an accredited college or university.

  • Scholarships will be awarded specifically to students whose field of study is in the area of state government, public policy or related studies leading to a career in public service.  The scholarship award can be applied to the cost of books, fees, housing, tuition, and other usual college expenses. The scholarship offered by the Illinois Hispanic Educational Foundation is an effort to increase the enrollment and advancement of Latinos in the area of state government. Applicants must be: of Hispanic/Latino parentage a resident of the State of Illinois accepted/enrolled in an accredited high school, college or university. Applicants must be enrolled in university programs which will eventually result in a baccalaureate or advanced degree. Enrolled undergraduate and graduate students   can be full or part-time students and must be in good academic standing with a 2.5/4.0  G.P.A. Community college applicants must be enrolled in courses transferable to a four-year  institution offering a baccalaureate degree in their field of study.
